In the exhibition 'Soundreaming’ in Prague, the artist duo Doroszenko presents recent sound and visual installations. Launched in 2014, the 'Soundreaming’ project was created by artists in various European cities as part of the Artist-in-Residence programmes, including Prague, Barcelona and Linz. Both Ewa and Jacek Doroszenko are deeply involved in the search for a new aesthetic code compatible with their complex and multifaceted artistic practice. The Jedna Dva Tři Gallery exhibition presents the artist duo’s discussion of physical landscapes, virtual environments and soundscapes. The visual layer of the show stems directly from the proper documentation of cities collected in the archive. Inspired by the location of the sites and motivated by a desire to reverse the traditional roles of image and sound in the world of media and art, the artists emphasise the importance of the acoustic environment for our perception of space.
